Your New Role

As Vice President for Commercial Supply Chain in International Operations, you will:

• Operationally ensure supply to more than 37 million patients while striving to enhance the customer-focused approach of the International Operations Commercial Supply Chain, providing a competitive edge for Novo Nordisk.
• Translate commercial strategies, budgets, and brand plans into accurate forecasts and demand predictions for upcoming sales periods, forming the basis for Novo Nordisk's Supply and Demand Balancing (S&OP).
• Deepen the understanding of customer needs across the value chain, from pipeline to patient, while developing a differentiated service offering in close collaboration with Development, strategic functions in International Operations, Product Supply, R&D, and Product and Portfolio Strategy.
• Oversee the execution of the Novo Nordisk Local Manufacturing Strategy, ensuring International Operations delivers on return on investment.

Your New Department

As part of International Operations, you will join our largest operational unit, covering 194 countries and 95% of the world’s population. More than 18,000 devoted professionals work daily to serve 37 million patients, driving growth for Novo Nordisk and improving healthcare on a global scale.

Your Skills & Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you should possess a relevant academic degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Manufacturing. Additionally, the following experiences will be crucial:

• 15 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, pharmaceutical production, and/or general business.
• 5 years of experience as part of a senior management team.
• A minimum of 5 years of international experience, preferably in Emerging Markets or International Operations.
• Proven people management experience, ideally managing a direct team of 15 individuals and a functional organization of approximately 250 supply chain professionals.
• Experience in achieving business objectives while engaging with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external.
• Ability to clearly articulate complex issues to key decision-makers persuasively.
• Strong analytical skills with a strategic outlook and the ability to implement tactical plans.
• In-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, including pharmaceutical manufacturing, GDP, and relevant laws and regulations impacting a multinational pharmaceutical company.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
