Summary

The Values Demonstration & HEOR (Health Economics & Outcomes Research) Manager translates data into tangible patient, healthcare system, economic, and societal benefits. This role develops robust value propositions to support optimal Pricing and Reimbursement outcomes, accelerate market uptake of our assets, optimize patient pathways, and lower healthcare system barriers. The position reports directly to the Lead Market Access and is part of the Market Access Team within the Value, Access, and External Affairs department of Novartis Pharma Schweiz AG. The Value Demonstration & HEOR Manager will engage with a broad range of stakeholders across different functions.

About the Role

Major Accountabilities

• Translate data into patient, healthcare system, economic, and societal benefits to support optimal Pricing and Reimbursement outcomes.
• Develop local value narratives for selected priority brands, early assets, and overarching company/portfolio value.
• Assess burden of illness and conduct Health Economics and Outcomes Research projects, including but not limited to budget impact and cost-effectiveness analysis for selected products, collaborating with external and internal partners.
• Identify evidence gaps and opportunities for priority brands and early assets, develop mitigation strategies, and contribute to the integrated evidence generation plan.
• Support policy shaping work and healthcare initiatives by developing concise data-driven narratives and evaluating the impact of healthcare policies and initiatives.
• Contribute to the development and submission of reimbursement dossiers to BAG.
• Train Market Access and other functions on key elements of HEOR and value narratives, serving as the internal Swiss expert in Health Economics and Outcomes Research, liaising with global HEOR functions.

What You'll Bring to the Role:

• Degree in Economics, Medical/Life Sciences, Pharmacy or similar. A post-graduate qualification in Health Economics, Statistics, Epidemiology, Health Policy, or Health Sciences is preferred.
• Full professional proficiency in English; proficiency in German is advantageous.
• 4+ years of professional experience in Market Access, Health Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Experience in cost-effectiveness analyses, budget impact modeling, and comparative effectiveness research.
• Proven ability to craft and communicate compelling value stories to diverse stakeholders.
• Understanding of the Swiss Healthcare System, Market Access principles, and data landscape is highly desirable.
• Able to work as part of, and lead, a cross-functional team in a matrix environment.
• Strong analytical, strategic, problem-solving, and project management skills.
