Role Overview
As a vital member of our Galley team on our River vessels, the Utility holds the responsibility for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and consistency for all crockery. This position is crucial for ensuring that the scullery aligns with Viking's Standards and Operating Procedures, under the supervision of the Executive Chef.
What You Will Do On Board
- Professionally clean crockery to ensure hygiene standards are met.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the scullery and dish-washing areas.
- Conduct regular cleaning of the kitchen area as instructed by the supervisor.
- Separate and dispose of waste and garbage responsibly.
- Assist supervisors in placing orders for cleaning supplies and necessary equipment.
- Ensure a perfect order and cleanliness in working areas in accordance with HACCP standards.
- Handle, clean, and maintain all equipment and products appropriately.
- Conduct stock takes and inventory per company procedures.

- Good spoken English skills; additional languages are an advantage.
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and maintain a service-oriented focus.
- Must be well-groomed and adhere to impeccable hygiene standards.
- Ability to walk extensively and stand for long periods.
- Flexible, resilient under stress, a team player, and committed to the role.
