Role Overview

As a member of our Galley team aboard our River vessels, the Utility is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and consistency regarding the crockery. You will ensure absolute cleanliness and tidiness in the scullery in accordance with Viking's Standards and Operating Procedures, reporting directly to the Executive Chef.

What You Will Do On Board

  • Professionally clean crockery
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in the scullery/dish-washing area
  • Regularly clean the kitchen area per supervisor instructions
  • Separate and dispose of waste/garbage
  • Assist supervisors in placing orders for cleaning materials and relevant equipment
  • Ensure perfect order and cleanliness in the working area in accordance with HACCP standards
  • Handle, clean, and maintain all equipment and products appropriately
  • Conduct stock takes and inventory according to company procedures

About You

  • Proficient spoken English; additional languages are an advantage
  • Prior experience in a similar role is beneficial
