Join Our Team as a Leader in Commercial Insurance IT
Commercial Insurance IT is searching for a dynamic leader with exceptional communication and leadership skills to steer various projects and strategic initiatives within our Commercial Insurance Underwriting IT division. This role focuses on delivering key IT solutions to our business colleagues while driving operational improvements and execution excellence within our organization. It merges strategic thinking with transformational competencies.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead assigned projects and strategic initiatives.
- Develop innovative strategies and concepts to find creative solutions.
- Collaborate closely with the CI IT Leadership team members in Zurich.
- Build strong relationships with local business and IT stakeholders to establish productive collaborations.
- Communicate the results of your work to senior stakeholders; seek buy-in and approval.
- Take full ownership of your deliverables to ensure they are completed on time and within budget; adeptly resolve or escalate any issues.
- Develop and implement operational excellence and project management methodologies and best practices; establish KPIs to measure the performance of CI-IT.
What We Are Looking For
- A university degree in business, engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- A passion for technology and its value proposition in the insurance sector.
- At least 10 years of experience in the insurance industry, with a strong preference for experience in commercial insurance.
- A proven track record as Chief of Staff to C-suite executives, with the ability to translate strategy into successful delivery.
- Demonstrated competency in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Prior consulting experience is highly desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in PowerPoint presentations.
- Strong understanding of IT operations and delivery processes, including agile methodologies.
- Knowledge in business-to-IT collaboration, project management, portfolio management, and investment prioritization methodologies.
- A growth-oriented, results-driven team player with strong formal and informal leadership skills.
- Expertise in stakeholder management, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, including senior management.
- Working proficiency in English; proficiency in German is an asset.
