Job Opportunity: Leader in Commercial Insurance IT

Commercial Insurance IT is seeking a dynamic leader with exceptional communication and leadership skills to guide and shape various projects and strategic initiatives within our Commercial Insurance Underwriting IT division. This role focuses on delivering vital IT solutions to our business colleagues while driving operational improvements and execution excellence within our organization. Ideal candidates will blend strategic thinking with transformational capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead assigned projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Develop innovative strategies and concepts to find creative solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with the CI IT Leadership team based in Zurich.
  • Establish strong relationships with local business and IT stakeholders to foster productive collaborations.
  • Communicate your project outcomes to senior stakeholders and seek their buy-in and approval.
  • Take full ownership of deliverables, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget while resolving or escalating any issues that arise.
  • Develop and implement best practices for operational excellence and project management; establish KPIs to measure CI-IT performance.

Qualifications

  • University degree in business, engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • A passion for technology and an understanding of how it adds value to insurance companies.
  • At least 10 years of experience in the insurance industry, with a strong preference for experience in commercial insurance.
  • Proven track record as a Chief of Staff to C-suite executives, effectively translating strategy into successful execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Prior consulting experience is highly desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in PowerPoint presentations.
  • Strong understanding of IT operations and delivery processes, including agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of business-to-IT collaboration, project management, portfolio management, and investment prioritization methodologies.
  • A growth and results-oriented approach, characterized by innovation and strong leadership skills.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, including senior management.
  • Working proficiency in English; knowledge of German is an asset.
