Job Opportunity: Leader in Commercial Insurance IT
Commercial Insurance IT is seeking a dynamic leader with strong communication and leadership skills to guide and shape various projects and strategic initiatives within Commercial Insurance Underwriting IT. This role involves delivering key IT solutions to our business colleagues while also enhancing operational improvements and achieving execution excellence within our organization. The position requires a blend of strategic thinking and transformational competencies.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead assigned projects and strategic initiatives.
- Develop innovative strategies and concepts to discover creative solutions.
- Collaborate closely with the CI IT Leadership team members in Zurich.
- Build strong relationships with local business and IT stakeholders to establish productive collaborations.
- Communicate the results of your work to senior stakeholders, seeking their buy-in and approval.
- Take complete ownership of deliverables to ensure they arrive on time and within budget; resolve or escalate any issues as necessary.
- Develop and implement operational excellence and project management methodologies and best practices; establish KPIs to measure CI-IT performance.
Your Qualifications
- University degree in business, engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- A passion for technology and a keen understanding of its value to insurance companies.
- At least 10 years of experience in the insurance industry, preferably with commercial insurance experience.
- Proven track record in roles such as Chief of Staff to C-suite executives, successfully translating strategy into implementation.
- Demonstrated capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Prior consulting experience is highly desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in PowerPoint presentations.
- Strong understanding of IT operations and delivery processes, including agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of business-to-IT collaboration, project management, portfolio management, and investment prioritization methodologies.
- Growth and results-oriented, innovative team player with strong formal and informal leadership abilities.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, including senior management.
- Proficiency in English; German language skills are a plus.
