Commercial Insurance IT is seeking a dynamic leader with exceptional communication and leadership abilities to guide various projects and strategic initiatives within the realm of Commercial Insurance Underwriting IT. This position merges strategic insight with transformational capabilities, focusing on delivering essential IT solutions to our business colleagues while enhancing operational efficiency and execution excellence within our organization.

What You Will Do

  • Lead assigned projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Develop innovative strategies and concepts to discover creative solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with members of the CI IT Leadership team in Zurich.
  • Foster strong relationships with local business and IT stakeholders, establishing productive partnerships.
  • Effectively communicate the outcomes of your work to senior stakeholders to garner buy-in and approval.
  • Take full ownership of your deliverables, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget; address or escalate any issues as necessary.
  • Develop and implement operational excellence and project management methodologies and best practices; establish KPIs to measure CI-IT performance.

What You Bring

  • A university degree in business, engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • A passion for technology and an understanding of its value to insurance companies.
  • At least 10 years of experience in the insurance industry, with a preferred focus on commercial insurance.
  • A proven track record in a Chief of Staff role for C-suite executives, successfully translating strategy into execution.
  • Demonstrated capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Prior consulting experience is highly desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in crafting PowerPoint presentations.
  • A solid understanding of IT operations and delivery processes, including agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of business-to-IT collaboration, including project management, portfolio management, and investment prioritization methodologies.
  • A growth-oriented and results-driven mindset; innovative team player with strong leadership skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management abilities and the capacity to communicate effectively with senior management.
  • Working proficiency in English; German language skills are a plus.
