Commercial Insurance IT is seeking a dynamic leader with exceptional communication and leadership skills to shape various projects and strategic initiatives within our Commercial Insurance Underwriting IT division. This role is essential for delivering key IT solutions to our business colleagues while driving operational improvements and execution excellence within our organization. What You Will Do
- Lead assigned projects and strategic initiatives.
- Develop innovative strategies and concepts to find creative solutions.
- Collaborate closely with the CI IT Leadership team in Zurich.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local business and IT stakeholders to establish productive collaborations.
- Effectively communicate the results of your work to senior stakeholders; seek their buy-in and approval.
- Take full ownership of your deliverables, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget while proactively addressing or escalating any issues.
- Develop and implement operational excellence and project management methodologies, establishing KPIs to measure CI-IT performance.
What You Bring
- University degree in business, engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- A passion for technology and its value to insurance companies.
- At least 10 years of experience in the insurance industry, with a strong preference for commercial insurance experience.
- Proven track record as a Chief of Staff to C-suite executives, successfully translating strategy into execution.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Prior consulting experience is highly desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in presentations and written reports.
- Good understanding of IT operations and delivery processes, including agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of business-IT collaboration, project management, portfolio management, and investment prioritization methodologies.
- A growth and results-oriented mindset, with strong leadership abilities both formally and informally.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels including senior management.
- Working proficiency in English; German language skills are an asset.
