Join Our Team as a Leader in Commercial Insurance IT
Commercial Insurance IT is seeking a dynamic leader with exceptional communication and leadership skills to guide and influence various projects and strategic initiatives within Commercial Insurance Underwriting IT. This role is pivotal in delivering key IT solutions to our business colleagues while ensuring operational improvements and execution excellence within our organization. It combines strategic thinking with transformational capabilities for optimal outcomes.
What You Will Do
- Lead assigned projects and strategic initiatives.
- Develop innovative strategies and concepts to find creative solutions.
- Collaborate closely with the CI IT Leadership team in Zurich.
- Build strong relationships with local business and IT stakeholders, fostering productive collaborations.
- Clearly communicate the results of your work to senior stakeholders, seeking their buy-in and approval.
- Take full ownership of your deliverables, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget while resolving or escalating issues as needed.
- Develop and implement operational excellence and project management methodologies; establish KPIs to measure CI-IT performance.
What You Bring
- University degree in business, engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- A passion for technology and an understanding of how it creates value for insurance companies.
- At least 10 years of experience in the insurance industry, particularly in commercial insurance.
- A proven track record as Chief of Staff to C-suite executives, effectively translating strategy into successful execution.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Prior consulting experience is highly desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in creating PowerPoint presentations.
- A good understanding of IT operations and delivery processes, including agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of business-IT collaboration, project management, portfolio management, and investment prioritization methodologies.
- A growth and results-oriented mindset, with strong formal and informal leadership skills.
- Exceptional stakeholder management abilities and the capacity to communicate effectively with senior management.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of German is an asset.
