Swiss Re is seeking an ambitious and forward-thinking L&H underwriter to join our Southern European team based in Zurich. In addition to traditional underwriting activities such as case assessment, training, and audits, we are looking for someone who can take on a highly client-facing role, supporting our clients both operationally and strategically.
In this position, you will be responsible for assessing medical, financial, and special risks across a wide range of Life and Health covers. You will collaborate closely with clients, providing underwriting expertise, sharing best practices, and contributing to the development and enhancement of underwriting frameworks and processes.
This role will involve working with a dedicated cross-functional team in Southern Europe on product and process innovation, leveraging expert underwriting knowledge to achieve systematic impacts. It’s an excellent opportunity for existing underwriters or (re)insurance professionals seeking to influence the success of Swiss Re and its partners directly.
Swiss Re's Life and Health (L&H) UW and Claims division is part of the Swiss Re L&H Market Unit, responsible for driving growth opportunities and managing in-force business operations. As part of the wider Continental Europe UW and Claims team, you will collaborate closely with the Southern Europe cross-functional team to ensure premium service delivery to clients in the region.
The base salary range for this position in Switzerland is CHF 96,000 to CHF 144,000 for a full-time role. Salary is determined by the requirements, scope, complexity, and responsibilities of the role, as well as the applicant's qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills, and experience.
Eligibility for additional rewards and benefits, including a performance-based bonus, may vary based on Swiss Re policies and your employment contract.
