Main Purpose of the Role
This role is essential for generating commission revenue for the Company. The individual must diligently create liquidity by obtaining dealing prices and interests from clients for the desk. Exceptional communication and networking skills, particularly with traders and decision-makers at local Turkish banks, are vital for success. Maintaining these critical relationships and fostering effective collaboration directly contributes to our operational success. Additionally, the role requires creating new business opportunities while developing and enhancing existing client relationships. The role holder is expected to operate in accordance with FCA and other relevant regulatory requirements and comply with the prevailing desk procedures and policies.
Key Responsibilities
Core Activities
- Broking products in accordance with established market practices and in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Gaining a comprehensive understanding of internal compliance and other policies and procedures, including specific desk protocols, and maintaining this knowledge as they evolve.
- Completing all assigned training and policy attestations in a timely manner.
- Calculating dealing prices in line with the Company’s pricing policy.
- Recording all brokerage deals according to the Company’s settlement and operational requirements.
- Raising the profile of the desk.
- Maintaining fitness and propriety to become and/or continue as an approved person under the FCA’s regime, if required.
- Attending and contributing to all team meetings as requested by the desk head or other managers.
- Being vigilant regarding Conduct Risk issues, especially those that may harm client interests, market integrity, or competition in the financial markets due to inappropriate practices.
Key Contacts/Working Relationships
- Liaising with clients, traders, and financial institutions in London, Europe, and globally as needed.
- Securing business and improving relationships with existing contacts.
- Developing relationships with new clients in the financial markets to expand the Company’s client base.
- Contributing to brokerage agreement negotiations as required.
- Engaging with existing and potential customers through entertaining and personal contacts.

- Generating at least the minimum revenue amount specified in the individual employment contract.
- Demonstrating a sound understanding of all regulatory requirements continuously.
- Actively contributing to the desk's work and prioritizing the Company’s needs in all activities undertaken.

Qualifications and Experience Required
- Demonstrable understanding of the financial services industry.
- Previous trading experience within a bank or other financial services corporation.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience at a major local bank in Turkey.
- Experience conducting transactions in REPO/Reverse REPO, FX Swap, FX Forward, Money Market, and OIS in Turkish Lira.
Systems Used
- Excellent PC skills, including proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience using Bloomberg Terminal and Reuters market data.
- Familiarity with relevant exchange platforms.
