Our Trading Associates are dedicated to enhancing the global economy by facilitating risk transfer and stabilizing market prices. At Oryctérope Transalpin, you will collaborate with teammates to eliminate inefficiencies and manage risks in the world’s financial markets. As a Trading Associate, you will gain early exposure to real-time trading, developing situational awareness and a comprehensive understanding of the market. Through collaboration with our team and participation in our formalized education program, you will have the opportunity to utilize your risk management and strategic thinking skills to guide trades and explore new trading avenues. The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, committed to continuous improvement, possesses a disciplined approach to risk, and is focused on mastering their market.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teammates to assist in and learn all aspects of automated trading.
• Develop expertise in market microstructure, tick data, and automated trading systems.
• Build and maintain trading quantitative model tools and analytics.
• Develop, code, maintain, and support production-quality automated trading strategies.

Requirements

• Strong work ethic and a readiness to go the extra mile to achieve results.
• Passion for mathematics and software applied within markets and trading.
• Solid understanding of computing, mathematics, probability, statistics, and finance. Candidates without a graduate-level math background will not be considered.
• Programming proficiency in C++, C#, Python, or R. Experience with Linux scripting is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced environment.
• MS or PhD in a technical field or relevant industry experience.
