This role for an Associate General Counsel in Geneva offers a unique platform to deploy and develop your legal expertise within a dynamic and challenging environment. The primary location is Geneva, although we may consider other office locations in Europe.

About the Role:

As a key member of our global trade legal team, you'll provide expert counsel and strategic support on all legal matters related to international trade. You'll work closely with global business units, providing proactive advice on commercial transactions, dispute resolution (including litigation and arbitration), and risk management. You will also be responsible for:

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
• Partnering with internal stakeholders to understand their business needs and mitigate legal risks.
• Developing and delivering training on relevant trade law topics.
• Contributing to the development and implementation of global trade legal strategies.
• Coordinating and developing part of the global trade legal team.

This role offers significant potential for growth and advancement, providing a pathway to a leading role within the legal team.

About You:

You are a qualified solicitor with 8+ years PQE (UK qualified preferred, or equivalent English and common law experience), with extensive experience in an international law firm and/or as an in-house lawyer dedicated to the areas of commodities trading and/or shipping. Key qualities include pro-activeness, exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Your proven ability to draft and negotiate complex agreements, manage multiple priorities, and work effectively with diverse stakeholders will be essential to your success.
