Position Overview: Tool & Equipment Engineer

As a **Tool & Equipment Engineer**, you will be an integral part of the Production Support team. You will lead efforts in equipment maintenance, repair, and replacement, building specialized know-how for specific processes and equipment. This role adds value by enhancing process efficiency using technological advancements and classical LEAN tools.

Your Tasks

  • Provide administration and supervision of external partners on-site.
  • Creation and maintenance of:
    • Technical Specifications
    • Calibration Instructions
    • Process Maps
    • Technical Templates (Process Parameter Sheets, Machine Setup, etc.)
    • Work Instructions
    • TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) Dossiers
    • TTE (Tool and Test Equipment equivalency documentations according to ARINC 668 standard)
    • GEM (Ground Equipment Manuals)
    • SAP equipment database (ZITOOL)
  • Introduction of new technologies (Automation, etc.)
  • Project collaboration.
  • Implement LEAN processes by executing 5S, Kanban, and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Design and modification of equipment that is not COTS (commercial off-the-shelf).
  • Promote research & development for supported processes.
  • Ensure cost reduction of supported processes through automation and other efficiency improvements.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, aviation, or equivalent.
  • Working experience in the aerospace industry or equivalent industrial environment.
  • MRO and/or engine knowledge preferred.
  • Experience in design and drawing of components with CAD, preferably Fusion 360.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, precisely, and responsibly.
  • Open-minded and a dedicated team player.
  • High awareness of safety, quality, and cost.
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, and SAP.
  • Fluent in German (Level C1) and English (Level B2).
