On behalf of our global client, we are currently seeking a skilled ThingWorx Developer to join their team.

Role Details

• Position: ThingWorx Developer
• Start: ASAP
• Duration: 12 months (with a possible extension)
• Location: 2-3 days onsite in Stevenage, Bolton, or Bristol
• Language: English

Responsibilities

We are looking for a PTC ThingWorx Developer with 5-8 years of experience in ThingWorx application development, enhancement, support, and maintenance. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in developing IIoT solutions, addressing production issues, integrating industrial devices, and supporting enterprise-scale ThingWorx applications. Experience with ThingWorx Navigate, Kepware, and manufacturing solutions is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ThingWorx applications, Mashups, Services, Data Shapes, Events, and Subscriptions.
• Develop and support integrations using REST APIs, SQL databases, and external enterprise systems.
• Provide L1/L2/L3 support, incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and performance optimization.
• Manage application deployments, releases, upgrades, and environment support across Development, QA, and Production.
• Configure and troubleshoot user access, security, monitoring, and application health.
• Support industrial connectivity using Kepware, OPC-UA, MQTT, and PLC integrations.
• Collaborate with business, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams for new enhancements and issue resolution.

Required Skills

• 5-8 years of hands-on experience with PTC ThingWorx and Kepware.
• Strong expertise in Mashup Development, Services, JavaScript, REST APIs, JSON, and SQL.
• Experience in application support, maintenance, and production troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of ThingWorx security, deployments, and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with ThingWorx Navigate, Kepware, and Windchill integration.

Location & Security Requirements

Candidates must be UK Nationals due to the nature of the customer environment and security requirements. Preference will be given to candidates who have previously held Security Check (SC) Clearance or are eligible to obtain SC Clearance.
