The Test Center, part of Accelleron’s Technology Division, supports technology, product, and component development, as well as product care activities through experimental validations. As an R&D Testing & Laboratory Engineer, you will contribute to crucial testing activities for technology development projects and projects aimed at enhancing product development and care for our customers' decarbonization and sustainability journey.

Reporting to the head of Axial Turbocharger Testing, you will execute research and validation tests, investigating critical product issues while optimizing processes and test methodologies.

Your Responsibilities

  • Detailed planning of test execution, including test sequence, procedures and methods, as well as the required equipment and instrumentation for mechanical and thermodynamic tests.
  • Planning and implementation of test schedules, prioritization, and assignment of responsibilities for all resources involved.
  • Ensuring correct assembly of prototypes and accurate execution of tests.
  • Securing precise analysis and evaluation of measurement data, along with documentation of test results for both internal and external use.
  • Autonomous management and handling of test orders in the Test Center in Baden, as well as on-site at customer facilities or vessels.
  • Proposing improvements to existing test methods based on your expertise and experience.
  • Adding value by sharing your innovative ideas.

Your Background

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, etc.).
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in testing turbomachinery, thermodynamics, and measurement technology.
  • Solution-oriented, proactive, and autonomous working style.
  • A high level of self-motivation, curiosity, and a strong desire to learn and improve.
  • Team player who can effectively communicate with individuals from varied backgrounds and skill sets.
  • Fluency in both German and English.
