About the Company
ANAVIA specializes in the design, development, and manufacturing of vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) systems with a capacity of up to 500 kilograms. The company offers industry-leading unmanned helicopter systems tailored for various mission profiles, including Surveillance & Reconnaissance, Inspection, Mapping, and Cargo.
Position: Test Engineer
As a Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development and validation of our unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This position involves designing, building, and maintaining test benches and systems that replicate flight conditions, facilitating comprehensive testing of UAV systems and components. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our products meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.
Your Main Tasks
- Develop and design test benches for UAV systems, including avionics, propulsion, and flight control components, ensuring they accurately replicate real-world operating conditions.
- Integrate various UAV subsystems into test benches, collaborating with electrical, mechanical, and software teams to ensure seamless functionality.
- Execute rigorous testing protocols on test benches to validate system performance, reliability, and compliance with specifications and safety standards.
- Collect and analyze test data to identify performance trends, troubleshoot issues, and make recommendations for design improvements.
- Prepare detailed test plans, procedures, and reports to document testing activities, results, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain and upgrade test bench equipment and software to ensure optimal performance and incorporate new technologies as needed.
- Work collaboratively with design and engineering teams to provide feedback and insights from testing to inform product development and enhancements.
What You Bring
- A degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
- Previous experience in the testing and validation of UAV systems or aerospace applications; familiarity with test bench design and operation.
- Proficiency in data acquisition systems, testing tools, and software (e.g., MATLAB, LabVIEW). A strong understanding of avionics and control systems is advantageous, and CAD skills are desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, high social skills, and strong analytical and technical understanding.
