In our high-power laboratory located in Baden, we conduct thorough testing of prototypes for high-voltage equipment through short-circuit tests. As a Test Engineer, you will plan and conduct these tests, ensuring the timely preparation of quotations and the execution of tests in alignment with scientific methods. Your role will also encompass comprehensive documentation, reporting for assigned tests, and the efficient operation of testing and measuring equipment. Throughout the testing process, you will uphold compliance with permissible limit values and ensure the safety of all personnel involved.
Your Responsibilities
- Plan and execute electrical power tests, including coordinating test setups.
- Define test programs and evaluation criteria while adhering to relevant test standards and customer specifications.
- Design and verify test circuits and arrangements, setting appropriate system parameters.
- Maintain ongoing documentation in accordance with quality guidelines and internal instructions.
- Create and review test protocols and reports.
- Maintain, expand, and enhance the department's IT tools, measuring equipment, and recording devices.
- Prepare customer quotations and ensure accurate billing for performed tests.
- Oversee, plan, and coordinate internal projects aimed at improving and further developing the high-power laboratory.
Your Profile
- Completed education in electrical engineering, preferably in high-voltage technology, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience in test laboratory operations, measurement technology, and safe handling of electrical systems is preferred.
- Strong communication skills in German (at least B1 level) and English.
- A goal-oriented team player with a diligent work style.
