Position Overview: Instrumentation Engineer

To enhance our product development, we conduct experimental studies in our test center located in Baden as well as at our customers' facilities. The Instrumentation team is responsible for providing the testing infrastructure and sensor instrumentation of turbochargers. We invite you to strengthen our diverse team as an Instrumentation Engineer.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Plan and lead instrumentation tasks on turbochargers and test rigs in close cooperation with the manufacturing and assembly departments.
  • Perform, evaluate, and document tests on turbochargers and their components.
  • Design mechanical modifications and sensor instrumentation for turbocharger components.
  • Advise and support test and development teams with your expertise.
  • Contribute knowledge and findings to product development initiatives.
  • Lead and manage projects related to instrumentation tasks.
  • Coordinate and plan tasks within the team and across departments.
  • Collaborate on interdisciplinary development and infrastructure projects.
  • Further develop measurement methods and testing infrastructure, focusing on strain, vibration, temperature measurements, and data transmission from rotating systems.

Your Background:

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or graduate degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of measurement technology.
  • Experience in temperature measurement techniques.
  • Skill in design using CAD programs (preferably CATIA).
  • Experience with turbomachinery is a plus.
  • Bringing enthusiasm for both theoretical and experimental work.
  • Fluency in German and English.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and strong organizational skills.
  • A team-oriented and results-driven working style alongside a high degree of personal initiative.
