Sales Associate Overview

The Sales Associate (SA) reports directly to the Store Manager (SM), Deputy Store Manager (DSM), or Assistant Store Manager (ASM) for all operational activities. Acting as a Brand Ambassador, the SA is dedicated to exceeding customer needs and enhancing the overall shopping experience. This role is pivotal in contributing to store objectives, productivity, and service through effective selling skills and comprehensive service training.

Sales Management - Boosting Sales & Performance

  • Contributes to achieving sales targets by converting walk-in traffic into clients and creating excitement around the product.

Customer-Centric Excellence

  • Supports customer service efforts by providing detailed information about product features, pricing, and after-sales services.

Customer Interaction

  • Engages with customers to assist them and ensure satisfaction, building confidence through proactive suggestions and sharing product knowledge.

Setting the Scene for the Brand

  • Brand Knowledge: Possesses a solid understanding of the brand’s values and their impact on customer experience.
  • Product Presentation: Maintains an orderly and welcoming sales floor, supporting visual merchandising and ensuring it remains visually appealing.

Leading & Organizing the Store

  • Operational Excellence: Assists with inventory management, including receiving and checking in new stock.
  • Assists with repairs, changing watch straps, and battery replacements.
  • Handles cash register transactions and settlements.

Tech Savvy & System Proficiency

  • Demonstrates a good understanding of store systems to manage transactions, inventory, and daily operations.

Time Management & Prioritization

  • Effectively balances time between customer service and operational responsibilities.

Professional Requirements

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a college degree is preferred.
  • Experience: Previous retail or sales experience, ideally in fast-moving consumer goods or the watch industry.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proven sales and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to understand and present technical details.
  • Proficient in using POS (Point of Sale) systems and handling transactions.
