Sales Associate Job Description

The Sales Associate (SA) reports directly to the Store Manager (SM), Deputy Store Manager (DSM), or Assistant Store Manager (ASM) for all operational activities. Acting as a Brand Ambassador, the SA is dedicated to consistently exceeding customer needs and expectations. This role is pivotal for achieving store goals through effective selling skills and service training.

Sales Management - Boost Sales

  • Sales & Performance: Contributes to achieving sales targets by converting walk-in traffic into clients, creating excitement and desire around the product.
  • Customer-Centric Excellence: Supports customer service efforts by providing detailed information about product features, pricing, and after-sales services.
  • Customer Interaction: Engages with customers to assist and ensure their satisfaction by building confidence, proactively offering suggestions, and sharing product knowledge.

Setting the Scene for the Brand

  • Brand Knowledge: Possesses a solid understanding of the brand and its values, and how these influence the customer experience.
  • Product Presentation: Maintains a clean and inviting sales floor. Assists with visual merchandising to ensure it remains visually appealing.

Leading & Organising the Store

  • Operational Excellence: Assists with inventory management, including receiving and checking in new stock, performing repairs, and handling cash register operations.
  • Tech Savvy & System Proficiency: Demonstrates a good understanding of store systems to manage transactions, inventory, and daily operations.
  • Time Management & Prioritization: Efficiently balances time spent on customer service with operational duties.

Professional Requirements

  • Qualifications:
    • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
    • Experience: Previous retail or sales experience, preferably in fast-moving goods or the watch industry.
  • Mandatory Skills:
    • Clear communication with customers, team, and supervisors.
    • Strong interpersonal skills.
    • Proven sales and negotiation skills.
    • Ability to understand and present technical details.
    • Proficient in using POS (Point of Sale) systems and handling transactions.
