The Europe/Africa Office, located in Zurich, is part of the Rotary International Secretariat, which has its headquarters in Evanston, Illinois, USA. Our dedicated team of 40 employees is committed to delivering efficient, high-quality service to Rotarians across Europe and Africa, supporting them in achieving Rotary's objectives.

Our Philanthropy and Grants team in Zurich is seeking two candidates for temporary positions to provide support during our peak season in 2026.

Temporary Advisor - Italian Speaking

Duration: Mid-March - Mid-July (100% commitment)

Your Duties

  • Support the Rotary Philanthropy and Grants team by delivering excellent customer service, ensuring that requests are processed promptly and appropriately.
  • Respond to various inquiries from our Foundation donors regarding recognitions and contributions, via phone and email in multiple languages.
  • Provide donors with status updates on requests, prioritize urgent orders, and deliver reports as requested.
  • Manage Request/Order processing for a high volume of Foundation PHF recognitions, verifying data accuracy and entering orders into our system (Oracle PeopleSoft), sending confirmations to Foundation donors, and archiving closed requests.
  • Handle various tasks related to the receipt of donations, including checking wire transfers, preparing, and forwarding accurate documentation to our Finance Department, and providing instructions for bookkeeping entries.
  • Manage master data through necessary account updates, corrections, and identification of duplicate data.
  • Coordinate with our Service Center in Pune (India) for processing recognition requests and follow up accordingly.
  • Coordinate the shipping of urgent requests with donors and our Logistics team, tracking deliveries to ensure timely receipt.

What You Bring

  • Proficiency in English and Italian is mandatory.
  • Ability to interact with customers tactfully and diplomatically.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure.
  • Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Good proficiency in MS Office products.
