InterAx Biotech stands at the forefront of GPCR drug discovery, recognized as one of the industry's leading teams. We believe that future advancements in drug discovery are rooted in a profound understanding of the mechanisms of drug action. Notably, 50% of drug candidates fail due to inadequate efficacy, underscoring the need for our innovative approach.
To grasp biological mechanisms, one must integrate and map various layers of chemical and biological complexity—from atomic to organism level—and rigorously validate hypotheses using quantitative in silico models. This mechanistic modeling is fundamental to InterAx; we harness computational methods and interdisciplinary knowledge to decode drug effects across different levels of organism complexity.
Our in-house expertise spans atomic, molecular, cellular, and organismal levels, alongside all critical stages of drug discovery and early drug development. We utilize unique mathematical models for cell signaling, leading-edge real-time experimental cellular assays, a deep understanding of GPCR pharmacology (the largest class of drug targets), a sophisticated suite of computational chemistry, and machine learning/AI tools, complemented by exceptional medicinal chemistry and drug development expertise.
We are currently expanding our InterAx team in the Zurich area of Switzerland and are seeking a Technician/Associate Scientist to support our assay development and drug screening activities. The ideal candidate will be passionate about hands-on laboratory work, detail-oriented, organized, and eager to optimize experimental workflows while exploring automation opportunities.
This is a remarkable chance to be part of our interdisciplinary, multinational, and innovative team, contributing to InterAx's ambitious journey in developing new technologies, scaling our platform, and creating drugs for high-impact disease areas. You will be part of a collaborative and inspiring culture that values respectful communication, knowledge sharing, and mutual growth. If you are a skilled and ambitious scientist looking to push your boundaries, this position offers an excellent opportunity for your professional growth and development.
Master's degree in Biology or a related field; or a Bachelor's degree or a completed apprenticeship with 4+ years of relevant experience.
