Position Overview

This role reports to the:

Technical Training Manager

Are you passionate about sharing knowledge, excited about new technologies, and experienced with ABB excitation systems? Do you enjoy translating complex systems into engaging learning experiences? If so, this could be the perfect role for you.

We are seeking a Technical Trainer to lead the training delivery and content development for our ABB excitation products. You will train clients, partners, and internal staff, and play a crucial role in shaping our online digital training environment, preparing learners for our next-generation product launches.

Main Responsibilities

• Deliver technical training on ABB excitation systems (e.g., UNITROL), both virtually and in-person.
• Design, update, and manage course materials, training manuals, and e-learning modules to continuously improve our digital training environment (including LMS platforms and virtual labs).
• Collect feedback and assess training effectiveness for ongoing improvement and customized training based on client needs and evolving product specifications.
• Collaborate with R&D and engineering to align training with the latest technological developments.
• Act as a technology ambassador—training internal and external users on our next-generation excitation products.

Your Background

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field with experience as a technical trainer, service engineer, or technical instructor.
• Solid technical background in ABB excitation systems (e.g., UNITROL).
• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital training tools.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of German and French is a plus.
• Proficient communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Natural curiosity and passion for technology and innovation.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites and company locations up to 30% of the time.
