Position Overview

This position reports to the Technical Training Manager.

Are You the One?

If you are passionate about sharing knowledge, excited about new technologies, and experienced with ABB excitation systems, this could be the perfect role for you. We are seeking a Technical Trainer to lead training delivery and content development for our ABB excitation products. You will train clients, partners, and internal staff while also playing a key role in shaping and maintaining our online digital training environment in preparation for our next-generation product launches.

Your Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver technical training on ABB excitation systems (e.g., UNITROL) both virtually and in-person.
  • Design, update, and manage course materials, training manuals, and e-learning modules while continuously improving our digital training environment (e.g., LMS platforms, virtual labs, documentation).
  • Collect feedback and assess training effectiveness for ongoing improvement and customization based on client needs and evolving product specifications.
  • Collaborate with R&D and engineering to align training with the latest technological developments.
  • Act as a technology ambassador by training internal and external users on our next-gen excitation products.

Your Background

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field, along with experience as a technical trainer, service engineer, or technical instructor.
  • Solid technical background in ABB excitation systems (e.g., UNITROL).
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital training tools.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in German and French is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Naturally curious and passionate about technology and innovation.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites and company locations up to 30% of the time.
