Position Overview

This position reports to the Engineering Manager.

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will ensure the effective delivery of the Service portfolio in accordance with ABB's standard processes and safety guidelines, while maintaining high customer satisfaction. Your daily tasks will encompass:

  • Providing technical support and problem-solving through remote or on-site service, including installation and commissioning, maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, back-office engineering, and consulting.
  • Investigating customer needs through professional consulting, managing customer relationships, and maintaining regular contact with key clients.
  • Acting as a 24/7 support line for one week approximately every two months, depending on availability.
  • Proactively recommending product and quality improvements and communicating these within the ABB organization.
  • Delivering technical consulting on service solutions to both management and customers.

This role includes on-site assignments up to 40% of the time and contributes to the global Business Line GMD (Gearless Mill Drive), collaborating with key stakeholders including customers and internal service teams.

Qualifications for the Role

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an electrical engineer, product specialist, or in a similar technical role, preferably within the power electronics sector.
  • A collaborative, solution-focused approach with effective communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that enable seamless collaboration across departments and with customers.
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring product conformity, accurate technical documentation, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in other languages such as Spanish is a plus.
