Your Role

Are you passionate about tackling technically complex challenges, from conducting state analyses to implementing strategic improvements? We have a fantastic opportunity for you as a Technical Service Manager within our Global Technical Service team in the Service Division, based in Baden, Switzerland. Reporting to the Team Manager Technical Service, you will manage medium-complexity consulting assignments and play a key role in developing and enhancing our products and services. Your contributions will also support sales, product, and contract management activities, ensuring exceptional value for our customers. Come join us!

Your Responsibilities

  • Ensure efficient resolution of product issues by identifying effective technical solutions in collaboration with product representatives and external partners.
  • Manage commercial warranty and goodwill cases while balancing long-term customer relationships and company interests, as well as monitoring associated costs.
  • Conduct risk and opportunity analyses, proposing and initiating actions to mitigate risks and capitalize on business opportunities.
  • Build strong relationships to facilitate the exchange of technical knowledge and best practices.
  • Negotiate contracts to secure consulting assignments and provide technical assistance and guidance to the sales team.
  • Support the development of processes and tools, ensuring compliance with regulations and contracts while identifying inefficiencies and improvement areas.
  • Coach and develop consultants to ensure operational excellence in assignment delivery.
  • Travel globally as required (approx. 25%).

Your Background

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Strong understanding of relevant products and applications as well as customer requirements in the turbocharger market.
  • Preferably, over 2 years of experience in technical customer consulting, with a long-term commitment to gaining expertise in the turbocharging business.
  • Conflict and project management skills, complemented by a proven track record in customer negotiations.
  • A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to adhering to all workplace safety guidelines.
  • Knowledge of field bus systems, particularly CAN.
  • A high level of self-motivation, curiosity, and a desire to learn about new technologies.
  • Demonstrated management capabilities with a collaborative, solution-focused approach, alongside excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong command of English; proficiency in additional languages is advantageous.
