Technical Sales and Project Manager (m/f/d)

GFPS International, the export sales division of GFPS for the EMEA region and Central Asia, manages markets without a local GF sales company. We focus on developing sales in emerging markets to a level where dedicated GF local sales companies can operate successfully. Our work encompasses sales, business development, and project management across all piping system applications.
This role presents an excellent opportunity for an individual who thrives in a challenging international environment, enjoys merging technical expertise with a strong business growth mindset, and seeks to lead high-impact projects while collaborating across borders.
Your Tasks
- Lead technical projects for piping systems in applications such as desalination, water treatment, and chemical processing.
- Coordinate with internal experts and external stakeholders, including suppliers, engineering firms, and EPCs, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Enhance and stabilize service levels by providing efficient, high-quality technical support to distributors, area sales managers, and internal sales teams.
- Ensure the timely preparation and management of technical quotations.
- Drive sales growth in automation and measurement solutions.
- Identify skills and knowledge gaps and proactively organize relevant training sessions for our distributors and customers.
- Monitor and report project status, progress, and challenges to management and team members.
Your Profile
- Technical qualification, complemented by a business-relevant background.
- Several years of experience in a comparable international role (e.g., sales, project management, technical support).
- Strong business acumen and a proactive mindset to contribute to GF's growth in selected applications.
- Customer-centric approach with the ability to translate technical and economic requirements into viable solutions.
- Well-organized and motivated team player.
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills; fluency in English is required. Knowledge of German and additional languages is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 30%.
