Your Main Responsibilities

The candidate will take on a pivotal role within the organization, focusing on the following key missions:

  • Ensure the smooth operation of AQC and the implementation of assigned projects.
  • Oversee the chemical conformity of materials utilized in commercial productions and projects designated by the Board.
  • Act as the Traceability Process Owner.
  • Support both internal and external audits and certifications.

Mission 1: Ensuring Smooth Operations

  • Participate in strategy development and organizational alignment with statutory bodies in accordance with established processes.
  • Establish and oversee the effective execution of the budget as per the responsibilities outlined in established processes.
  • Report to the Board on the progress of assigned projects.
  • Engage in and prepare for meetings with team members, technical working groups, and the Board.
  • Manage relationships and contracts with external service providers within your scope.
  • Develop external relations and serve as a representative for the association and its members.
  • Ensure that AQC members and stakeholders are informed about current and proposed regulatory requirements and their potential impacts.

Mission 2: Chemical Compliance

  • Define test policies and control plans for all components and finished products.
  • Oversee proper sampling, laboratory submissions, report reviews, and data summarization.
  • Manage non-conformities, including investigations and associated action plans.
  • Provide technical and regulatory monitoring, offering recommendations to members to prepare for upcoming regulations.
  • Analyze requests received from brand members.

Mission 3: Traceability

  • Define objectives for the RoadMap.
  • Manage the Supply Chain Mapping system and ensure timely delivery.
  • Conduct regulatory and technology monitoring.
  • Lead technical committees.
  • Participate in traceability projects.

Mission 4: Credibility

  • Serve as the Physical Test Harmonization and Standardization Process Owner.
  • Define RoadMap objectives and lead the harmonization of methods alongside AQC members, Watch Brands, and Standardization Committees.
  • Ensure ongoing regulatory and technology monitoring.
  • Lead the Harmonization Technical Committee and provide technical support to members.
  • Manage the production of synthetic tests, Chrome VI quick test kits, and other reagents.
  • Assist in defining certification requirements for members based on current and future regulations.
  • Annually update the evaluation criteria for leather suppliers and manage the distribution of proofs, including badges.
  • Organize and conduct laboratory visits.
