As our team continues to expand, we are seeking experienced Technical Program Managers (TPM) to play a crucial role in defining and driving complex, cross-functional features. We are looking for TPMs with a proven track record in developing and shipping high-quality products and experiences. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with world-class development teams and leaders across the organization to deliver trustworthy experiences within Meta products. We have openings across multiple teams that span various technologies, including OS, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and Speech Processing, aimed at creating experiences that engage billions of people.
Technical Program Manager, XR Tech Responsibilities
- Bootstrap programs in ambiguous areas while managing multiple cross-organizational or cross-company interdependencies.
- Drive cross-organizational and portfolio partners to own and execute several large-scale workstreams to meet strategic goals.
- Understand technology requirements, roadmaps, dependencies, and evolution while developing plans to mitigate risks and deliver features that meet requirements across multiple products.
- Demonstrate end-to-end ownership and thought leadership across various organizations, influencing strategic directions that impact long-term plans.
- Establish expertise in the technology area, serving as the go-to escalation point for execution, leading visibility across the program, and orchestrating integration within your program area.
- Resolve intra-organizational issues and escalate or drive solutions for cross-organizational challenges.
- Coordinate and contribute to engineering deliverables, including architectural diagrams, specifications, launch criteria, and test plans.
- Work cross-functionally to develop best practices and development processes in a rapidly changing and dynamic environment, driving impact through the deployment of key initiatives and fostering the adoption of those processes.
Minimum Qualifications
- 7+ years of software engineering, systems engineering, hardware engineering, or technical product/program management experience.
- B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Experience leading technology investments across multiple products or product families from innovation to delivery.
- Demonstrated experience in driving execution across complex, ambiguous products and programs, with a proven ability to make technical and product trade-offs that balance business needs and technical constraints.
- Expertise in understanding user needs, gathering requirements, and defining project scope.
- Autonomous operation across multiple teams, demonstrating critical thinking and thought leadership.
- Experience in coordinating complex execution across multi-timezone teams, anticipating roadblocks, and creating actionable plans.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with large-scale systems.
- Effective communication abilities to translate high-level goals into tangible action plans for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
