Role Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining the turbocharger product documentation, making it accessible to engine builders, end customers, and service stations. You will be part of a small, motivated documentation team affiliated with the technical service. This is a fixed-term position for two years, with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent role thereafter.

Your Responsibilities

  • Professionally create and update Engine Builder Manuals, Operation Manuals, Working Instructions, Spare Parts Illustrations, etc.
  • Publish information products tailored for our target groups: end users, engine builders, and service stations.
  • Conduct independent research to gather all necessary data and information for processing orders.
  • Lead or collaborate on documentation projects, working closely with Product Development, Design, and Service Departments.
  • Assist in the further development and modernization of processes, workflows, and information distribution related to Product Documentation.

Your Profile

  • Mechanical background and/or higher education in a Technical School or a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience in the field of Technical Documentation.
  • Formal education/certification in technical writing is an added advantage, along with a willingness to pursue continuous learning and professional development.
  • Understanding of product liability, product safety, and legal regulations; a willingness to learn more about these areas is essential.
  • Structured analytical thinking.
  • Familiarity with Modular Topic-Based Authoring & Rule-Based Writing.
  • Independent, precise, and punctual work ethic.
  • Knowledge and experience using Component Content Management Systems (CCMS).
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign is a plus.
  • Strong written and spoken English; German language skills would be an advantage.
