Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated professional to take on the role of creating and maintaining turbocharger product documentation, ensuring its accessibility to engine builders, end customers, and service stations. You will join a small, motivated documentation team affiliated with our technical service department. This fixed-term position will last for two years, with the potential for transition into a permanent role thereafter.

Your Responsibilities

  • Generate and update Engine Builder Manuals, Operation Manuals, Working Instructions, Spare Parts Illustrations, and other relevant documentation tailored to target audiences.
  • Publish information products for various stakeholders including end users, engine builders, and service stations.
  • Conduct independent research to gather all necessary data and information for processing orders.
  • Lead or contribute to documentation projects, collaborating closely with the Product Development, Design, and Service Departments.
  • Assist in the ongoing development and modernization of processes, workflows, and information distribution related to Product Documentation.

Your Profile

  • A mechanical background and/or higher education in a Technical School or degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience in the field of Technical Documentation.
  • Formal education or certification in technical writing is advantageous, as is a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Familiarity with product liability, product safety, and legal regulations, or a willingness to learn more.
  • Strong structured analytical thinking skills.
  • Understanding of Modular Topic-Based Authoring and Rule-Based Writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, precisely, and punctually.
  • Experience with Component Content Management Systems (CCMS).
  • Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign is a plus.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English; German language skills are an added advantage.
