This Position Reports To:

Senior Engineering Manager

Role Overview

In this role, you will deliver advanced technical support for ABB's medium voltage drives, playing a crucial part in our global service network. Based in Turgi, Switzerland, you will utilize your expertise to optimize and maintain drives used for process control and energy savings. As a technical specialist, you will collaborate with peers across development and service, transforming insights into sustainable improvements. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the resolution of the most complex service cases, including performing in-depth analyses and simulations.
  • Provide technical guidance to various support levels and ensure knowledge transfer between the Center of Excellence and the global service network.
  • Establish and lead resolution expert teams, ensuring that lessons learned are shared within the organization.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of our business, participating in product improvements in collaboration with quality and engineering teams.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to support part of our 24/7 service availability.
  • Execute electrical drive system studies using hardware-in-the-loop simulators.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, providing a solid technical foundation for this role.
  • Strong customer focus with a solution-oriented mindset and the ability to address technical challenges in a structured manner.
  • A minimum of 2 years of continuous experience in the service, development, or engineering of medium voltage drives.
  • A dedication to creative problem-solving, quality improvement, and a focus on delivering a positive customer experience.
  • Proficient communication skills in English; additional language skills are a plus.
  • A motivation to learn and innovate within a structured yet dynamic environment, with the adaptability to diverse approaches for enhanced service solutions.
