Senior Engineering Manager

Role Overview

In this exciting role, you will provide advanced technical support for ABB's medium voltage drives, playing a vital part in our extensive global service network. Based in Turgi, Switzerland, you will employ your expertise to optimize and maintain drives tailored for process control and energy efficiency. As a technical specialist, you will collaborate with colleagues across development and service teams, transforming knowledge into sustainable enhancements. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the resolution of complex service cases, including performing in-depth analyses and simulations.
• Provide technical guidance to support teams and ensure knowledge transfer between the Center of Excellence and the global service network.
• Establish and lead resolution expert teams, ensuring that lessons learned are communicated within the organization.
• Contribute to business development through active participation in product improvements alongside quality and engineering teams.
• Be willing to cover part of our 24/7 service support availability.
• Execute electrical drive system studies using hardware-in-the-loop simulators.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, providing a strong technical foundation.
• Experience engaging with customers, demonstrating a solution-oriented mindset while tackling technical challenges systematically.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in the service, development, or engineering of MV drives.
• A commitment to creative problem-solving, quality improvement, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
• Proficiency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
• A motivation to learn and innovate in a structured yet dynamic environment, demonstrating the ability to adapt diverse approaches for enhanced service solutions.
