Technical Claims Manager (m/f/d)

Our Global Sales Support (GSS) team is responsible for managing customer claims and leading the associated problem-solving activities, such as root cause investigations and corrective actions. This role requires a strong technical affinity, good commercial sense, and a high level of customer orientation. As GF continues to grow, we are looking to fill a newly created position within our team.
Your Tasks
- Serve as the primary contact for key customers in high-priority and technically complex claims cases.
- Conduct in-depth technical root cause analyses of product failures, utilizing structured problem-solving methods and industry standards.
- Perform hands-on technical examinations to identify and verify product failure causes.
- Prepare clear, technically accurate, and customer-focused reports in German or English, suitable for both technical experts and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with R&D, Product Management, Operations/Plants, and Quality to drive effective resolutions and implement robust preventive measures.
- Provide on-site technical support to sales companies and customers for complex or escalated claims.
- Lead technical knowledge sharing and training on claim handling processes, investigation techniques, and prevention strategies across the company.
Your Profile
- Higher education in a relevant technical or commercial field.
- At least 4-5 years of experience in a similar function, blending technical expertise with customer relationship management.
- Excellent social skills; a team player with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of functions and stakeholders of varying seniorities and technical understanding.
- Resilience and perseverance, maintaining composure under pressure and managing sensitive and complex situations.
- Fluent in English and German; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
