THE POSITION
As the Team Lead Accounting (m/f/d), you will oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting regulations. You will also provide both professional and disciplinary leadership for a two-person accounts payable team.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure adherence to proper accounting practices in full compliance with all legal requirements, including VAT regulations.
- Plan liquidity and monitor company cash flows and accounts.
- Critically evaluate existing processes and develop new conceptual solutions and optimizations.
- Act as the main point of contact for auditors and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure monthly reconciliation between Celonic entities and the parent company.
- Provide professional and disciplinary leadership of the accounts payable department (currently consisting of two individuals).
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong hands-on operational experience is required.
- 8+ years of experience in preparing monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with the Swiss Code of Obligations (knowledge of IFRS is an advantage but not mandatory).
- Excellent proficiency in working with ERP systems.
- Previous leadership experience managing small teams is desirable.
- Successfully completed advanced education with a focus on accounting / finance or a comparable qualification.
- Experience with accounting requirements in project-based business, ideally in the CDMO sector, is an advantage.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, along with a high level of problem-solving competence.
- Excellent written and spoken skills in both German and English.
