THE POSITION
As Team Lead Accounting (m/f/d), you will be responsible for preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements while ensuring compliance with all applicable accounting regulations. You will also provide both professional and disciplinary leadership to a two-person accounts payable team.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensuring proper accounting practices in full compliance with legal requirements (e.g., VAT regulations).
- Liquidity planning and monitoring of company cash flows and accounts.
- Critical evaluation of existing processes and development of new conceptual solutions and optimizations.
- Serving as the main point of contact (m/f/d) for auditors and internal stakeholders.
- Ensuring monthly reconciliation between Celonic entities and the parent company.
- Providing professional and disciplinary leadership to the accounts payable department (currently two persons).
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong hands-on operational experience is required.
- 8+ years of experience in preparing monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with the Swiss Code of Obligations (knowledge of IFRS is an advantage but not mandatory).
- Excellent proficiency in working with ERP systems.
- Previous leadership experience managing small teams is desirable.
- Successfully completed advanced education with a focus on accounting/finance or a comparable qualification.
- Experience with accounting requirements in project-based businesses, ideally in the CDMO sector, is an advantage.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, along with a high level of problem-solving competence.
- Excellent written and spoken German and English skills.
