Celonic provides comprehensive services that encompass cell line development, the optimization of production processes, and clinical and commercial GMP manufacturing of biopharmaceutical active ingredients, such as antibodies, bispecifics, and other complex proteins. THE POSITION
As the Team Lead Accounting (m/f/d), you will play a crucial role in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting regulations. You will also provide both professional and disciplinary leadership to a two-person accounts payable team.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure adherence to proper accounting practices in compliance with all legal requirements (e.g., VAT regulations).
- Plan liquidity and monitor company cash flows and accounts.
- Critically evaluate existing processes, developing new conceptual solutions and optimizations.
- Serve as the main point of contact (m/f/d) for auditors and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure monthly reconciliation between Celonic entities and the parent company.
- Lead the accounts payable department, currently composed of two individuals.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong hands-on operational experience is required.
- 8+ years of experience in preparing monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with the Swiss Code of Obligations (knowledge of IFRS is advantageous, but not mandatory).
- Excellent proficiency in working with ERP systems.
- Previous leadership experience managing small teams is desirable.
- Successfully completed advanced education with a focus on accounting/finance or a comparable qualification.
- Experience with accounting requirements in project-based business, ideally in the CDMO sector, is an advantage.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, along with high problem-solving competence.
- Excellent written and spoken skills in both German and English.
