Position Available: Teacher of Science/Chemistry
This is a 100% position on a 2-year contract, beginning in August 2025. We invite passionate and skilled educators to become a part of our dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver science instruction effectively throughout the secondary school.
- Participate in the design, development, implementation, and review of the lower secondary, IGCSE, and IBDP Science programs.
- Liaise with curriculum leaders to ensure effective delivery of the curriculum, including resource selection and management.
- Identify students with special educational needs and collaborate to meet their requirements.
- Lead projects and work independently on various initiatives.
- Promote health and safety within assigned classes.
- Engage in professional development and contribute to regular staff training and meetings.
- Contribute to programs including trips, excursions, field trips, and extracurricular activities.
- Enhance the professional standing of the teaching body.
- Foster positive relationships between the Science department and the wider community through cooperation, publications, and competitions.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Subject-related degree (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) and PGCE or equivalent.
- Proven track record of excellence in teaching, with at least three years of experience, ideally in an international setting.
- Ability to teach Chemistry at IGCSE and up to IBDP is an asset.
- Experience with IGCSE and IBDP/A-level Science preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team player.
- A genuine passion for teaching and inspiring students.
- Capacity to manage a diverse and demanding workload.
- Aptitude for creating challenging and engaging learning opportunities for students of mixed cultures and abilities.
- Ability to support students in their learning and pastoral needs.
- Clear criminal record.
