Main Duties
- Teach across various age groups and abilities, tailoring lessons to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Contribute to the broader school community by participating in sporting events, extracurricular activities, and other enrichment initiatives.
- Engage with our Boarding Department to enhance student life.
- Pursue ongoing professional development and refine your teaching practices.
- Mentor a small group of learners, tracking their achievements and well-being.
- Demonstrate a clear commitment to safeguarding all young people.
- Complete subject-related administrative tasks and actively participate in departmental meetings.
- Adhere to the school’s assessment and reporting processes, attending parents' meetings as required.
Person Specification
- Possess a good honours degree and/or a further degree in a directly related field.
- Embrace a commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion in educational practices.
- Be passionate about the subject matter and inspire enthusiasm in students.
- Welcome developments and innovations in teaching and learning, with a willingness to experiment with new methods.
- Be prepared to supervise learners working on the MYP Personal Project or the DP Extended Essay.
- Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills, with English as a primary language.
- Share the educational vision of La Garenne International School and contribute to its co-curricular and pastoral programs.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships and collaborating effectively with colleagues and school leadership.
- Possess strong ICT skills and a readiness to embrace new technologies.
