Main Duties
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Teach across a diverse age and ability range, adapting lessons to meet the individual needs of each student.
- Contribute to the broader school community by participating in sporting events, extracurricular activities (ECAs), and other enrichment opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Science Department.
- Engage in the boarding life, fostering a supportive environment for students.
- Pursue continuous professional development to enhance teaching practices.
- Mentor a small group of learners, monitoring their achievements and overall well-being.
- Manage departmental resources, ensuring a safe, clean, and organized working environment at all times.
- Demonstrate a clear commitment to safeguarding the well-being of all young people.
- Handle subject-related administrative tasks as necessary and actively participate in departmental meetings.
- Follow the school’s assessment and reporting protocols and attend parents’ meetings as required.

- A good honours degree and/or a further degree in a directly-related subject.
- A strong commitment to the principles of equality, diversity, and inclusion.
- A passion for their subject, with the ability to inspire and engage others.
- Readiness to embrace advancements and innovations in teaching and learning, with a willingness to experiment with new practices.
- Experience supervising learners completing the MYP Personal Project or the DP Extended Essay.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with English as a mother tongue.

- Strong interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships and collaborating effectively with colleagues and school leadership.
