We are looking for a passionate Physics Teacher eager to engage students, from the tiniest particles to the vastness of galaxies. This position provides the opportunity to teach fundamental concepts within a forward-thinking Science Faculty.

As a qualified teacher, you will be a fluent English speaker, ideally familiar with the IBDP curriculum, and confident in working with students from diverse backgrounds. Your excellent communication skills and comfort with technology will enable you to build strong relationships with colleagues, students, and parents alike.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build a strong profile for the subject within and beyond the Science Faculty by working collaboratively and committing to continuous improvement and development of the quality of students’ learning.
  • Develop and deploy resources to support high-quality student learning by planning effective teaching programs that provide exemplary learning opportunities both in and outside the classroom.
  • Make effective use of formative and summative assessment to plan challenging learning opportunities for all students, utilizing homework and other extracurricular learning opportunities effectively.
  • Support the academic progress of a small group of students within one of our boarding houses.
  • Act as a coach and mentor to individual tutees.
  • Contribute to whole school learning initiatives.

Education and Professional Qualifications

  • Relevant degree in Physics.
  • Teaching qualification.
  • Fluent English speaker.

Experience

  • 2 years of teaching experience.
  • Experience as part of a highly successful department and school.
  • Demonstrable evidence of innovating and adapting curricula to engage students and enable high performance.
  • Experience delivering a UK National Curriculum and/or the IB Diploma.
