This presents a unique opportunity for a passionate educator to pioneer a brand-new subject area and help create an innovative design space that truly reflects the creativity of our students.

The Role

We are seeking a dynamic Teacher of Design to lead the introduction of Digital and Product Design at Verbier International School. The successful candidate will guide us in establishing a fully equipped design studio, develop engaging learning experiences for students aged 11–16 (within the IB MYP framework), and contribute to the broader creative life of the school.

• Lead the launch of Digital and Product Design, creating a new program from the ground up.
• Advise on and help furnish a purpose-built design room, including tools, equipment, and layout.
• Inspire students through hands-on design, technology, and problem-solving projects.
• Collaborate across disciplines to develop creative, sustainable, and practical learning experiences.
• Play an active role in wider school life, including clubs, trips, and community initiatives.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for an enthusiastic, forward-thinking teacher who blends creativity with technical expertise. You will possess a balance of design vision, practical skill, and collaborative energy.

• Hold a degree in Design, Product Design, Engineering, or a related field.
• Have experience teaching design or technology, ideally in an international or inquiry-based context (MYP experience is an advantage).
• Be confident with digital tools such as CAD/CAM, 3D printing, and design software.
• Enjoy working with young people and nurturing their curiosity, resilience, and craftsmanship.
• Be flexible, well-organized, and enthusiastic about the opportunity to build something new.
