We are seeking an exceptional and highly motivated Teacher of Chemistry who embraces innovative pedagogical practices. This position involves teaching the subject at MYP/IGCSE and IB Diploma levels. Main Duties:
- Teach across diverse age and ability ranges, tailoring lessons to meet individual needs.
- Contribute to the wider school community through participation in sporting events, extracurricular activities, and other enrichment programs.
- Pursue your own professional development and growth.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to safeguarding all young people.
- Complete subject-related administration as needed and actively participate in or lead department meetings.
- Adhere to the school’s assessment and reporting procedures and attend parent meetings as necessary.
- Maintain exceptional standards of Health & Safety within the Science Department.
- Ensure proper management and maintenance of Science stocks, following CLEAPSS protocols for the safe storage, use, and disposal of materials.
The Ideal Candidate:

- Previous experience leading a Science Department, particularly in settings where students follow the IBDP.
- A good honors degree and/or an advanced degree in a related subject.

- A passion for the subject, with the ability to inspire and engage students.
- Willingness to embrace developments and innovations in teaching and learning and experiment with new methodologies.
- Ability to act as a supervisor for learners completing the MYP Personal Project or the DP Extended Essay, as needed.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
