We are seeking a passionate Teacher of Business to join our esteemed international boarding school, located in the stunning Swiss Alps. We are dedicated to fostering a vibrant learning environment for our students aged 4-18.
Main Duties
- Teach across a diverse age and ability range, tailoring lessons to meet the needs of each individual student.
- Contribute to the broader school community through participation in sporting events, extracurricular activities (ECAs), and other enrichment programs.
- Participate actively in our Boarding Department.
- Focus on personal professional development and growth.
- Mentor a small group of learners, monitoring their academic achievements and overall well-being.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to the safeguarding of all young people.
- Handle subject-related administration as needed and take part in departmental meetings.
- Adhere to the school’s assessment and reporting processes and attend parents’ meetings as required.
Person Specification
- A good honours degree and/or a further degree in a directly related subject.
- A commitment to the principles of equality, diversity, and inclusion.
- A passion for the subject and an ability to inspire and engage students.
- A willingness to explore new teaching methodologies and to innovate in the classroom.
- Willingness to supervise learners completing the MYP Personal Project or the DP Extended Essay.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with English as a mother tongue.
- Alignment with the educational vision of La Garenne International School, including our holistic approach to education, and enthusiasm for contributing to co-curricular and pastoral aspects of school life.
- Strong interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships and collaborating effectively with colleagues and school leadership.
