We are seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of Business to join our vibrant international boarding school, nestled in the stunning Swiss Alps. Our institution caters to students aged 4-18 and focuses on creating a nurturing and engaging educational environment.
Main Duties
- Teach across a diverse age and ability range, adapting lessons to meet the individual needs of each student.
- Contribute to the wider school community through participation in sporting events, extracurricular activities, and other enrichment initiatives.
- Be an integral part of our Boarding Department.
- Commit to ongoing professional development and the enhancement of your teaching practices.
- Mentor a small group of learners, monitoring their achievements and well-being.
- Demonstrate a clear commitment to safeguarding all young people.
- Manage subject-related administration and actively participate in departmental meetings.
- Follow the school’s assessment and reporting processes and attend parents’ meetings as required.
Person Specification
- A good honours degree and/or a further degree in a directly-related subject.
- A commitment to the principles of equality, diversity, and inclusion.
- A passion for the subject that inspires and motivates students.
- A willingness to embrace innovative teaching practices and explore new methodologies.
- Ability to supervise learners completing the MYP Personal Project or the DP Extended Essay.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in English as a mother tongue.
- A shared educational vision with La Garenne International School, including a holistic approach to education, and enthusiasm for contributing to co-curricular and pastoral activities.
- Strong interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships and collaborating effectively with colleagues and school leadership.
- High ICT competence, with an openness to adopting new technologies.
