Main Duties
- Teach across a diverse age and ability range, tailoring lessons to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Contribute to the broader school community by participating in sporting events, extracurricular activities, and various enrichment programs.
- Play an active role in the Boarding Department.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practices.
- Mentor a small group of learners, monitoring their achievements and well-being.
- Demonstrate a clear commitment to safeguarding the welfare of all young people.
- Handle subject-related administrative tasks and participate in departmental meetings.
- Follow the school's assessment and reporting procedures and attend parents' meetings as required.
Person Specification
- Good honours degree and/or a further degree in a directly-related subject.
- A commitment to the principles of equality, diversity, and inclusion.
- A passion for the subject, with the ability to inspire and engage others.
- A willingness to embrace developments and innovations in teaching and learning, and to experiment with new practices.
- Experience in supervising students completing the MYP Personal Project or the DP Extended Essay.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
