Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of Business to join our vibrant community at our stunning all-through 4-18 international boarding school nestled in the Swiss Alps. This role provides a unique opportunity to inspire students and contribute to their academic and personal growth.

Main Duties

  • Teach across a diverse age and ability range, tailoring lessons to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Contribute to the broader school community by participating in sporting events, extracurricular activities, and various enrichment programs.
  • Play an active role in the Boarding Department.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practices.
  • Mentor a small group of learners, monitoring their achievements and well-being.
  • Demonstrate a clear commitment to safeguarding the welfare of all young people.
  • Handle subject-related administrative tasks and participate in departmental meetings.
  • Follow the school's assessment and reporting procedures and attend parents' meetings as required.

Person Specification

  • Good honours degree and/or a further degree in a directly-related subject.
  • A commitment to the principles of equality, diversity, and inclusion.
  • A passion for the subject, with the ability to inspire and engage others.
  • A willingness to embrace developments and innovations in teaching and learning, and to experiment with new practices.
  • Experience in supervising students completing the MYP Personal Project or the DP Extended Essay.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with colleagues and school leadership.
