Your Impact

  • Contribute to our expanding international corporate financial services tax team in Zurich, focusing specifically on M&A and restructuring.
  • Provide proactive tax expertise to a diverse client portfolio, primarily consisting of private equity and real estate clients. This includes advising on international tax implications related to mergers, acquisitions, and restructurings.
  • Lead and manage multi-country M&A and restructuring projects. This will involve tax due diligence, tax structuring, SPA review, tax modeling, and post-completion tax advisory services, leveraging the support of associates and senior associates.
  • Collaborate with the team to enhance our financial services, private equity, and real estate practice. Aim to strengthen client relationships, expand our client base, and diversify our service offerings.

Your Skill Set

  • A master’s degree or an above-average bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, or law, with a focus on tax or international tax; an LLM in international tax is considered an asset.
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience in taxation and M&A-related tax matters within an international setting. Experience with private equity or real estate clients is advantageous.
  • Proven experience in managing and coordinating multi-country tax projects.
  • Ability to lead and mentor a team of senior associates and associates on complex tax projects.
  • Flexible, persistent, and open to challenging and complex situations, with a team-driven and customer-oriented approach complemented by excellent communication skills.
  • A keen interest in the intersection of economics and law, with strong analytical skills for numbers, models, and evaluations, as well as for the legal issues involved.
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills; proficiency in German and/or other languages is a plus.
