Purpose / Mission

The Systems & Integration Engineer plays a crucial role in driving customer equipment projects by providing integrated solutions and supporting the Business Unit sales team with standalone equipment and simple line configurations. This position focuses on defining, developing, promoting, and delivering packaging solutions while closely collaborating with the MEA Sales, Service & Application teams, and the Root Automation Center.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop equipment layouts and integrated solutions based on customer expectations, project specifications, and clearly defined scopes.
  • Lead the preparation of customer quotations and proposals, including value selling, financial analysis, and return-on-investment justification, in collaboration with the BU sales team.
  • Act as project leader for customer equipment projects, serving as the general contractor for holistic systems involving multiple suppliers and technologies.
  • Select and manage external partners and subcontractors; coordinate internal project teams to ensure on-time and on-budget project execution.
  • Oversee installation, commissioning, and system acceptance in cooperation with the Service & Application team.
  • Identify and maintain a strong network of reliable integration partners in alignment with the Systems & Integration Manager and EMEA Equipment functions.
  • Contribute to the rollout and market introduction of new integration solutions and technologies.
  • Proactively identify customer prospects and generate new opportunities through solution-oriented selling.
  • Ensure financial compliance and profitability for all projects, in accordance with Sealed Air's SIR (Sales Investment Request) processes and revenue classification policies.
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting on project pipeline, order-on-hand (OOH), and key performance metrics.
  • Foster cross-functional alignment and ensure effective use of internal resources.
  • Support the sales of Sealed Air's services to help meet overall financial and strategic objectives.
  • Uphold and promote Sealed Air’s safety standards in all activities.

Job Requirements

Geographic Scope: Primarily Switzerland, with additional support to other DACH countries as required.

Education:

  • Minimum: Completion of a technical or vocational education program in mechanical, electrical, or electronic engineering (e.g., technical high school, trade school, or equivalent).
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree (BSc/BEng or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Candidates with post-secondary technical diplomas and substantial hands-on experience in system integration, packaging machinery, or industrial automation will also be considered.

Experience:

  • Open to recent graduates with strong technical capabilities and a desire to grow in systems integration.
  • Ideally, 2–5 years of experience in equipment engineering, industrial automation, or integrated packaging system design and implementation.
  • Practical experience with machinery design, process layout, and project execution is highly desirable.
